Truly lovely, Bruce! At first glance I found the bokeh bubbles to be a distraction. However, once over than distraction, it it almost like they are thoughts being emitted from the statue - perhaps the statue is a real person turned into a statue by a magic spell, and he is trying to send that message out to that blurry person in the background, in hopes that they will recieve it and find a way to free him from the spell. This feeling is supported by the fact that the statue looks like a person frozen mid-stream, like he was stopped instantly, in his tracks, and the person he is trying to communicate with, is blurred, because he's not really getting the message, although his existance, and the fact that we can make out that it is a person, and the bubbles are being sent in his direction, give us hope that the message will be heard.
Now, don't you dare try to tell me that's what you had in mind when you took it! LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit
This photo intrigued me, and kept on coming back to it. Now I know why. There are two conflicting things the photo says. 1- It's beautiful 2- It's not simple, hence not on topic.
So looking at it from an absolute POV (regardless of the subject) I find this photo to be outstanding. Love everything about it (even though statue photos creep me out). The composition, the choice of B&W, and the B&W treatment are just excellent.
