marmara sea

Marmara sea

This summer, I was sipping Turkish coffee in a cafe near Istanbul at the shore of Marmara sea. Two fishing boats were gently rocking nearby. I wanted to capture the serene feeling. I am not sure that this applies stricktly to Bokeh, but I appreciate your thoughts.

Sam, this is too big at 172,012 bytes. Please reduce it to 153,600 or less when you have a chance, thanks! ~Sharon

The atmosphere is this is wonderful. You know, there are times when I wish I was carrying a video camera instead of a still one. In this case, I don't really get the sense that the boats are rocking but more like the feeling that the camera was moved horizontally during the exposure. For a bokeh shot the subject should really be in focus and sharp while the background would be out-of-focus and, ideally, have some of those little round spots. A fun shot nonetheless! ~Sharon
