This is a brilliant photo. That being said, I don't quite see it being a good example of using the rule of thirds. What am I missing? -- Victor

Thank you, Sam, Brent and Cat! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I have to go get into my bug suit now! We pass out candy at my friend's house today, they get upwards of 500 kids and silly adults in their neighborhood! It is a great deal of fun! Enjoy the day! ~Sharon

Brilliant! I love the jaunty composition; and the green skin and purple lipstick are fantastic as the only color in the image.

Gosh, thanks so much everybody! Alastair, no, the lipstick was burgundy, the only color I had in the house that was even close, and then PS'd from there. I tried green Halloween makeup for the face color and it just looked blotchy and terrible so that is PS'd too using hue and saturation. Charlie, you don't really want to hear me sing. You know that bucket that they talk about? I can't even carry the bucket much less the tune that is supposed to be in it! Olaf, thanks so much for telling me about the change in asterisk rules - a good decision! I had wondered why so few people were using them but I missed that discussion in the forum. ~Sharon

You do know that the * is superflous these days? We changed it a while back... I made some corrections to the FAQ on the matter, where I happened to see the asterisk mentioned. For example, under FAQ>Comments it now says: "Earlier, challengers who had a * next to their titles were requesting honest critiques. This practice has been abandoned, as we concluded we all wanted honest critiques."
