Lovely Aster Mary Anne, and I like the composition and colors here. The dying flowers and leaves really do give the feeling of summer being over and winter coming. Nice one! CJ

Flower shots rarely tell a story, but a few good ones do. I think this one fits quite nicely into your "great entries" category ;)

At this time of year, our plants are all pretty well spent. This one was actually the best bloom I could find, but I do like its imperfect quality, especially paired with the leaf in the background. I'm glad you guys like it. Not having the equipment or the PS skills of so many others here, I come along on these challenge rides mainly to learn and to be impressed with all the great entries. :-) --Mary Anne

Did you target this one because it is missing some petals? Because, if you did, you really hit "bulls eye"...The missing petals just "make" the photo. Quite beautiful... (If the lower branch and leaf was also OOF, it would be just perfect) PK
