Thanks, kiki, Alastair and Jason! Kiki, I just used the meter in the camera, which doesn't take into account that there is a polarizer on the lens. So, I shouldn't admit it I suppose, but this was an accident as I had forgotten that the polarizer was on the camera. But sometimes accidents get interesting results and I liked the result in this case. Jason, yes, it probably would be better if I was looking more into the frame, I don't have time at this point but maybe I will try one like that later. Thanks for your input! ~Sharon

I love how your right (our left) eye is just barely visible. The negative space in this one is great, and the severe crop works well. Do you think it'd be better or worse with your eye looking a little more towards the viewer?
Hello darkness. I'm currently "working" high key myself, aiming higher, trying to master white. But I know very well where I'm going next. Blackness fascinates me immensely. Did you use a light-meter?
