Traveller, I actually like the linked image much better too, but it doesn't seem very self-portrait though. More of an interesting photograph and not a picture for the theme at hand.

thanks everybody. iso, I had to actually stand on some binders to get my body frame up higher. so leaving those in the shot would have looked weird. for those that are curious about how I took this. I work at a videoconferencing company. we have these codecs (video systems) that we can actually take snapshot images. I then routed it to one of our plasma screens. Then I used my timer on my camera, and after many takes I got one that was acceptable. Check out an alternate take on the picture below. http://www.pbase.com/blademeister/image/68493673

Excellent shot Mr Meister. Cropped feet are a little bit savage - I'd have liked to have seen those in the frame. Cool stuff.
