Nico - it's a "Glow Bear" (I think they use different spelling but you get the idea).
It's a fairly soft glow which changes colour - presumably using fibre-optics like you see on some Christmas decorations.
It is very soft and cuddly, unless you happen to lay your head on the battery/light generating compartment... :)

Perhaps it is because I have no daughter who "has one of those", so I have to be honest and say I have no clue what it actually is!? Looks a bit like a radio-active furry toy. :-) I would be interested and grateful to learn more. Compliments on an absolutely out-of-the-ordinary shot. Regards ~jnconradie
