Nice colors. I like that the light source is low, but I think a different position of the flash, perhaps off to the side and/or slightly behind would have given more shadows and made for a more dramatic image. -Michael

Nicely lit flowers. * I think that the flowers and the vase compete with each other here

Hi Lee, no this was not really an attempt at painting with light. The lighting source was an off-camera flash. Perhaps my comment was misleading... I just meant I am experimenting with with different lighting styles and seeing if I can emulate the high standards of others... Regards ~jnconradie
