Thanks Alexig, including the top portion of the shadow would have changed the dimensions of the photo and would have made it longer than I wanted. That would have changed the propertions of the egg, flares, shadow and the whole photo. Also this was shot in sunlight, so I could not do much with the angle of the light as such. Thanks for observing though! -Cat

Very nice. Kudos for using the light both to elegantly form the shape of the egg/shadow and using the refraction/shadow as strong compositional elements. -Michael
Very nice, Cat! I love the pattern of the refracted light in the egg's shadow. I do kind of wish that the shadow wasn't cut off on the right hand side but aside from that this is a marvelous shot! I am sorry for also posting egg shots but I was already working on them when you posted this. ~Sharon
