I think that this is a nice image, but for the challenge maybe having more of the corks in the DOF would have better enforced the challenge. Chris

That is one shallow DOF - only the middle of the 1st cork is sharp! I agree that maybe a tad deeper DOF might be nice but I guess I'd have to see it to be sure. Good idea and composition! CJ

I like the idea a lot. I just wondered whether your DOF is perhaps slightly too shallow and pretty much blurs everything except for the closest cork (which has wonderful texture and detail, of course). Perhaps if the second or perhaps even third ones were also slightly more in focus it would have been more interesting, for me at least. And I realise this is all incredibly subjective.
