7th : Sea Shells by JNConradie

For those interested: the shells were arranged on top of a piece of white perspex, lit from underneath with a reading lamp, using a piece of yellow scrapbook paper as colour filter. The vignetting is primarily just the fall-off of the light source used. No major postprocessing involved.

Thanks, CJ. Thanks, Naj. Regards ~jnconradie ( Naj, I am not really sure how to explain the pc/mac differences, but someone else might be able to give a good reason. The photograph was of course compressed a lot from its original in order to fit into the Challenge size limit and that might help to explain some loss of texture. (?) )

This looks awesome on my mac at home but totally different on the PCs at work. On the mac, the yellow tones are warm and smooth, but on the pc (truecolor setting) the yellow is in a number of bands and the shells have lost some of their texture. Beautiful image, though. - Naj
