For me, this is brilliant in all respects. -Michael

Thanks for your comment Dan, but I have to agree with Olaf. The entire time she was doing this, she was engaged in conversation with two other people. She only glanced down briefly at what she was doing, to pick up another ingredient.

In response to Dan, I would have to disagree a bit about the facial expression. This is so typical female behavior - hands doing one thing while her mind is somewhere else. Had it been a man, sure, I'd agree about 'concentrating on the work (s)he is performing' ... And before you men and women start flaming me - there is no judgment in what I say - just that men and women are typically different in this respect (multiprocessing vs. concentrating on one thing at a time).

There's nothing wrong with this but I would love to see
a different expression on her face, perhaps
concentrating on the work she is performing.
Reminds me of images from the thirties and forties
that Weston, Modotti and others did.

Ahhh, much more comfortable. Good job. :) ~ Lonnit

Absolutely adorable, and a wonderful light. I kinda liked the effect of the previous sharpening, nice dry feel her skin. But it was a little too harsh on her dress, that area got distracting. It's perfect now.

Thanks Alastair. The photo was taken in Victoria's outdoor kitchen, but she was under the roof, so was well shaded. It made for some very nice light.

Thank-you Lonnit. I have updated the image with one that has had less sharpening applied to it.

Wondeful image. I'd like it less sharp though - sharpness here is too technical for such an low-tech feeling scene. ~ Lonnit

Wonderful light. I like the warm B&W conversion. Great use of the 50 1.8 wide open.
