Thank you Nico. This was one of a series of "action" shots that were shot with a telephoto lens in landscape orientation at one point I zoomed in and the result was more a portrait than action shot. On reviewing it I thought it worked because of the position of the arms that broadened the shot. I haven’t really done portraiture both the shots I have here were more coincidental than deliberate.
Splendid portrait, Michael! I like that intense "look" very much. Call me old-fashioned, but I would almost certainly have opted for a vertical portrait. I would be keen to learn from you, though: why did you decide to show the scene in a horizontal format? Not a criticism, just a question. Regards ~jnconradie
