This is definitely "on topic." I love it. Not only is it part of a structure, but the pattern created by the stairs is very structured.

The picture was posted because I wanted to ask a question: I would probably have classified this as "architectural abstract". Does it fall within the "structures" topic? To be honest, I was not sure myself whether this would be "on topic" or not. ~jnconradie
