Excellent light on the aluminum punctuating the shapes and the reflections really make the image. -Michael

Nice one indeed. "Washing windows?" Hmmmm... shouldn't that be a feature of MS-Windows rather than Abobe? -Cat

I got up before dawn last Saturday to go fly fishing in nearby Green Lake. No success. Put the fishing gear back in the car, and took the camera for a walk around the docks and the boat house. Saw this aluminum plate on the boat house wall. The orange hat has the logo of my favorite fly fishing store; they gave it to me when I bought my rod and reel last year. So I wear it whenever I take the rod and reel for a "spin."

Good question Charlie. Just how much manipulation can we do to a "found" item before and after (in PP) we take the picture? And if you see a "washing windows" feature in "Elements", let me know as I have a few pictures that could use it! Is that you in your orange hat we see? I like your reflection a lot in this shot - it really adds an interesting spot of color. :-) CJ

Strong entry, Charlie. The red reflection makes the picture. Well done. ~jnconradie

(Charlie Beck has a great sense of humor, doesn't he?) ....along with his great eye for seeing great abstracts! shu

Thanks for all the comments. I suppose I could have wiped off the surface with that orange fly-fishing hat of mine. But then, would it still have counted as “found,” if you clean the abstract subject before shooting it? :)

Also, do you know if PS Elements has a filter for “washing windows”? LOL

Regards,
Charlie
