Thanks, Nico. Y'all kept me so busy with comments that I had little time to shoot for this challenge. I also had very few ideas, so it worked out nicely :-)

I live right on the coast in Montara. Point Montara Lighthouse is about 3 minutes away from my house. Out of my living room window, I saw the fog starting to roll in and ran down to the lighthouse to capture this. The "blurring" that you see is the leading edge of the fog coming in off of the ocean. About 10 minutes after this shot, the scene was totally grey with heavy fog. -Michael

The leading lines are clear, Michael - and I guess it is somewhat poetical that your entry has to be lighthouse, seeing the challenge icon/logo is also a lighthouse. :-)

I am not sure that I can figure out what caused the blurring. At first glance I thought it might have been taken through a rain-swept car window?

Regards - and thanks for hosting a wonderful challenge. ~jnconradie
