Ugh! Sorry to hear about the mess. Glad you didn't manage to electrocute yourself in the process! :) ~ Lonnit

Thanks for the feedback.

I used a green food colourant mixed in water plus pure white full cream milk, mixed in varying proportions from 100% colouring liquid to 100% milk. This shot was basically just done to check the setup and test how it would come out when bw filtered in PhotoShop. I had planned to use a more interesting background in the "official version".

:-) BUT then DISASTER in capital letters struck and my home-made light box collapsed and all five glasses with lots of horrible green liquid was all over everyting... and I mean everything! :-)

After spending hours to clear up, I simply did not have the enthusiasm to try again!

Thus, Grant, regrettably no other angles were tried.

And the grain was added afterwards in PhotoShop Elements to try create some degree of interest to the scene. But I agree, Lonnit, I do not think it worked as well as I had hoped.

Perhaps a case where the story behind the picture is more interesting than the picture itself? Thanks for the comments, though.

Regards ~jnconradie

I like the concept of grain here, but not fond of the technique used. Doesn't look like real grain. I like the image though. What are the beverages? I see they are opaque, which is a tad unusual for a wine glass; not that there's anything wrong with unusual. ;) ~ Lonnit

clever idea. I like the grain. had you tried one shot stright across instead of at an angle?
