Thanks all.

Bob. No, I didn't kill it - it flew away when the flash fired. Regarding my kitchen, I believe I'm doing my friends and family a favour by giving their immune systems a workout.

Michael. I can understand your reservations, and insect macros are such a cliche anyway. It's fun taking them though, once you have a lens that can do it, and this is one of my favourites that happens to fit this topic.

That's great. I love the shading in the background. It really sets off the outline and hairs on the beast. Jim H.

I'm really trying to develop an appreciation for insect macros, but I'm not nearly close to being sufficiently desensitized where this doesn't creep me out. Still, I can recognize how well done this is. -Michael

Thanks Michael, but I think I'll decline your offer for a cup of tea and a scone?... Hope you sent it to its final REPOSE? Great macro, Bob
