(Blue) Jean * Traveller

The Cub Reporter just happened to stumble upon the crime in progress. (Further, the cub reporter felt that the pictures would be better with a little more light...so he turned on the lamp and continued shooting, not wanting to interfere. Additional Pictures in comments)

In some ways, I don't find that as funny as some. I saw my father die of a heart attack, and yes people do go blue before they die. But it isn't that kind of blue. It's not as green. It's a real blue.

This is VERY creative! The blues are fine. shu

That's a valid criticism, Victor, but I wanted a very vague blue...more or less like the hands. However, because this victim, grin and smile, had make-up on, the color chosen for the hands would not work on the face...She was almost Royal Blue in the face when I used the exact same eye dropper...it took many trials to even get an approximation. But yes, in general, I agree but I am not willing to do this over....lol Best Wishes, Traveller

I don't think anyone has mentioned this, but I think a different hue would have been better. Something with less cyan, and possibly more majenta. Funny take on the theme. -- Victor

Masks are not _that_ hard to understand, but are so powerful. Once you know how to use them, you won't go back! I am sure there are a bunch of tutorials available on the net. I touched on the subject in my long comment here:http://www.pbase.com/cslr_challenge/image/56585975

Dearest Olaf: New terms for me to Google...lol. I'v heard the phrase, Masks, before...but, in time, in God's sweet patience maybe I'll learn this also. The truth is that I've gotten pretty good with polygone lasso tool...use it and you learn it, as you advised me. It really doesn't take me that long to work with it...I just wanted to complain. Best Wishes, Traveller

Trav, make your life simpler: If you don't already have a Wacom tablet - get one (The smallest Graphire will do fine) and learn to paint with it on masks!

Thanks, Lee, for what it is worth, in technical terms, I had to use the polygone lasso tool to trace out the areas that needed to be modified. In other words, the magic wand wouldn't work in this contex...it wouldn't be fine enough in the separation. Not that I didn't try. I also find it hard to believe that I did this laborious process on three distinct images...well, what the heck, it was fun. Thanks for the encouragement. Best Wishes, Traveller
