Gayle,

I was just going to drop in and sneak through without posting, but I stopped dead at this image. I don't really have the words to describe why I like it so much, but it's so perfectly how I'd want to do a portrait of my daughter, if I had one.

Cheers,
Jason

I've gone back and forth numerous times between the 2 pictures of your daughter and find I prefer this one. I like the very shallow DOF and the way everything is slightly OOF except for that beautiful eye looking right at the camera. Wonderful portrait Gayle! :-) CJ

LOVE this! Again I take issue with the shallow DOF that puts her nose out of focus. It needs just the slightest more depth. Perhaps if your focus plane was the area of the nose between the bridge and the eye, it would give you a better range of depth and still keep the eye within the range? Superb shot!!!! Again, the old starlets. I'm thinking Veronica Lake. ~ Lonnit

I prefer this one of the two. Really classy compositoin and that eye is spot on. Maybe a tad over exposed on the cheek.

There are no comments on this one (until now). Possibly I prefer the other shot, but this is still a wonderful portrait and worthy of being noticed.
