A closup of the Atomium. The beatiful structure built for the World's Fair in 1958.
I like the perfect symmetry and alignment of the three "iron atoms" in the center.

Thanks Sharon. Yes we went up. I heard that after the renovation was finished, pieces from one of the ball dropped out! Not too nice, as those pieces, that make up only a small part of the complete atoms, are still about as large as a full-grown human. They were still fixing these problems, but the Atomium was open for public nevertheless. Donaldo.

Wonderful! I like the reflections, too! We were in Brussels last year in April and this was still closed for renovation. I was very disappointed. Did you go up in it? ~Sharon
