nice, but you really didn't have to. The purple didnt bother me one bit. Neither did the sharpening.

Logo doesn't bother me either though :)
about the b/w, I still see a hint of dark purple in the logo.

Techo, thanks for the encouraging words. I don't see any color in the logo, but I do see some jaggies... If I find the time, I may try to do something about that. No, never thought about removing the logo - it seems important to me somehow...

Wonderful shot. Love the composition and the tone. I do indeed see it's not actually in B/W, the logo gives it away ;) Have you thought about cloning it out? for an even sleeker look.

Thanks guys - for your comments! Sharon, this is actually a color-image, lol... I didn't do any desaturation to this image at all [there is a slight hint of color in the highlight on the black rim and also in the shadow towards the upper right corner].
