Thank you, Michael. I appreciate your comments. Having entered has brought me to the challenge site frequently and allowed me to see many great images posted by many great photographers. Wow! I sure have a long way to go.

Oh Harvey - you flatter. lol. My PS skills have improved dramatically, but I still have a long way to go. I tend to erase rather than use proper masks, I don't understand the channels and channel mixer enough to get the power out of those tools, the list could go on. But I keep plugging away - plateau for awhile, then suddenly a project happens that pushes me up to the next level. I've only been at this for 4 years and didn't have PS for a long time. You are already way way ahead of where I was after 2 months. 63 is looking younger all the time :) Cindy

Thanks, Cindy. Coming from someone of your talents, I truly appreciate the comments. I wonder if I entered the challenge because it shares the same number as my age... 63. I hope I'm around long enough to get to be 10% as talented as you. - Harvey

Thank you. Actually, it was the shape of the flower that made me think 'wine glass'. As I stated, this started out as a self imposed 'layers' exercise. Fortunately, I had a wine glass with the same shape.

Beautiful. It's evident that you took great care to pick the perfect flower and a similarly shaped glass. The lighting is also very well done. (Whenever I take a photo of something reflective, I can't avoid getting my own reflection in the photo.) I also like the pools of light created by the ridges on the stem of the goblet.
