Thought you'd appreciate the red, Mr. Biscuit! LOL!

Yeah, KT, I was afraid this wasn't sexy enough. LOL! ;) ~ LOnnit
Canon DSLR Challenge21-Mar-2006 01:38
Sultry, and with red undies no less. Voonderbar. --Mr. Biscuit
Canon DSLR Challenge20-Mar-2006 17:38
Not as sexy as some previous work, probably because of the missing legs. :) This reminds me of a sculpture mounted on a wall. ~kt
Canon DSLR Challenge17-Mar-2006 21:00
I added extra to the bottom. In the process of cloning, a little work was done under the gown, but not to the gown itself. ~ Lonnit
Canon DSLR Challenge17-Mar-2006 18:45
Well, let's see how good my memory is. It sounds from the conversation like there is a different crop that extends lower than the original. Is that correct? Was that the only change? Contrary to other posts, I noticed right away the absence of legs, so any adjustment to emphasize that wasn't necessary for me. But here's what I notice to be different (whether it is or not). I recall the original having a more gradual transition betwen dress and wall. Now there is a rather stark line that I don't recall being there before. I prefer the original because you looked more like you were poking through the wall, as opposed to the current version, where you appear to be floating in front of the wall with no legs. -- Victor
Canon DSLR Challenge17-Mar-2006 14:37
Phew! That's a relief. WEll, except for Victor - but that doesn't count b/c the mind can play tricks and only recall what we want to recall. Consensus rules. LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit

Definitely works better for me now. Really really nice result.
Canon DSLR Challenge17-Mar-2006 00:48
I do think that this 2nd version much better conveys the idea of Emergence. Best Wishes, Traveller
Victor Engel16-Mar-2006 23:03
Hmmm. I think I preferred the previous version, although I'm having to rely on my memory of it. And if I'm going to rely on my memory, I prefer my version, which, of course, I've only seen in my mind's eye. -- Victor

NEW & IMPROVED!
I tried what you said, Bob, and tried just adding more length to the bottom. My preference was the legth b/c it didn't alter the rest of the image. The extra length seems to me to have done the trick. I'm much happier with it now, and it feels more balenced as well. Thanks all! :) ~ Lonnit
Canon DSLR Challenge16-Mar-2006 21:54
Bob
Thanks, I'll give that a shot and see how it looks. ~ Lonnit
Guest 16-Mar-2006 20:42
Lonnit, I love this image but I too missed the emergence from the wall the first time I looked at it. Intrigued by it I downloaded the image and tried cloning out the bright fold of the dress at the bottom left using the darker area as the source. I really liked the end result and you can't miss the emergence idea after doing this. I don't feel I should post the modification anywhere since its your work and should remain yours but you might want to try it to see what I mean.

Vikas - I was thinking about it yesterday, and I think what it is, is that a female goes from sexy to sensuous with advancing life experience. Sexy easily becomes slutty, but sensual is sultry, or sultry is sensual - however you want to look at it. Again, thank you for all the wonderful comments/compliments. :)

Cheers, Vikas.
Michael - Yes, indeed, you were sooooo right about the red. I knew I'd like it, but, WOW!, not like this! I'm glad some people are getting it, first glance. Thank you! ~ Lonnit
Vikas Malhotra16-Mar-2006 06:59
Lonnit, I agree with you regarding mature women and yes, Marcia Cross is a stunningly attractive lady and looks amazing in Desperate Housewives; really like her in it. Yup something about mature women that is extremely sexy with that air of confidence and demenour that comes with age... not to say that the young ones aren't attractive too. :-)
Regarding my comments, you deserve each one of them. You are one very very attractive lady.

Cheers, Vikas.
Guest 16-Mar-2006 06:07
Gorgeous, sultry, and simply eloquent. Interesting to read the various comments because I had no problem getting the concept of emergence from the wall with or without the title. Lonnit, I told you that you were gonna love that red wall :-)

(Grant, thank you for sharing, now get your hands out of your pockets and go take some photos.)

-Michael

I have had over 300 masturbations to this. Lovely photo. Thank you.

Vikas - Not only did you make my day, you made my week, month, year, and probably decade! LOL! THANK YOU! As I said, I refuse to get older, only better. ;) Honestly, I wouldn't have pulled this off better 10-20 yrs ago. OMG, twenty years!! That's a hard # to swallow. Hmmm... now who was I just having a conversation with about this? Anyway, what I was saying, is that there is definitely something to the maturity factor adding to attractiveness. I've always thought a woman was most attractive from 36 on up. If you thumb thru celeb pix, yes, of course there are beautiful younger women, but the ones that really catch my eye are the older ones. The younger seem almost vapid by comparison. My current favorite is Marcia Cross, the redhead from the show Desperate Housewives. She's just stunning - I saw a pic of her last week that just took my breath away. Now, I also saw her recently in an old rerun of another show. She looked basically the same, but lacked that intense beauty from within. I've always also thougth older men were much more handsome - I just love the character lines in the face and a touch of grey around the temples. I do thank you for your most wonderful compliment. It really felt good! :) ~ Lonnit
Vikas Malhotra14-Mar-2006 05:58
46?????? FORTY SIX?????? No way. There is no way you are even close to that figure. Gosh, incredible. I had you figured for early thirties, more like 32 or so, and certainly younger than me. I am sitting here in shock with a sense of awe! Wow, you sure could give most girls half your age a run for their money. Incredible and hats off to you Lonnit.

Cheers, Vikas.
Canon DSLR Challenge14-Mar-2006 02:56
Victor - yes, I had been thinking about cutting it at that natural looking line of demarcation at the waist. However, for totally egotistical purposes, I wanted to leave in that lower portion that was looking particularly trim. LOL! On that rare occasion that I get a decent shot of myself, I hate to cut half of it away. LMAO!

Thanks, Cat. :) ~ Lonnit
Canon DSLR Challenge13-Mar-2006 23:41
If you want it to appear more like you're pushing yourself through the wall, I suggest moving the intersection of wall and body up to somewhere around midriff area. Alternatively, how about showing a little leg (but that would produce a different effect)? -- Victor
Canon DSLR Challenge13-Mar-2006 21:52
Excellent!! Gorgeous!! They didn't leave anything more to be said about this... so what can I add? :-P -Cat
Canon DSLR Challenge13-Mar-2006 21:46
LMAO, Vikas! Thank you very much, on all counts. :) I'm glad you were able to get the concept. It seems some are having a bit of a hard time realizing what's supposed to be going on. I guess it's not quite clear enough. I was hoping the body language - the pushing thru the wall - would help make it recognizable, although it's that same body language that has added the, er, um... distraction. LOL!

BTW, guys, as far as all the male appreciation goes, I turn 46 in a few weeks so this commentary will deflect a major depression! LOL! ;) My motto is, "I'm not getting older, I'm getting better." LOL!

Cindy, I was thinking that too, about a bit more space at the bottom. The junction is a good idea as well. I can't add that, but I can add more wall to the bottom. Thanks.

Sharon - I was thinking fade at first, but it didn't look as good. I think maybe the issue is that the bottom of the image has the illusion of being a bit foggy, so it looks like the legs could be in the fog. But it's still just more fun to blame the guys for not getting that far! LOL! ;)

Thanks, Dave and Alexeig. :) ~ Lonnit

Great idea and beautiful model
Vikas Malhotra13-Mar-2006 15:12
Okay am back.....

Here goes. Fantastic shot, love the lighting, the coordinated red, the expression, well, just about everything for sure. Like the idea of you coming out through the wall, legs still presumably in the other room ;-)

Very nice idea and of course, super model.

Cheers, Vikas.
Vikas Malhotra13-Mar-2006 15:07
Hot Hot Hot Hot Hot....okay let me catch my breath... will be back soon to comment more.
Phew (wiping the sweat from my brow) ;-)
Canon DSLR Challenge13-Mar-2006 14:39
Great idea! Lots of work went into this I can tell. I wonder if a little more space on the bottom would help the eye figure out the wall - maybe even the junction with the floor? Cindy
elips13-Mar-2006 06:49
Lonnit, Shu and I didn't see it either. Perhaps it is the fold of fabric across the bottom, if your gown were to actually fade into the wall your intent might be more obvious. Great concept well carried out though! ~Sharon
Guest 13-Mar-2006 04:30
Nice work Lonnit. Dramatic, sultry... and surreal.
Canon DSLR Challenge13-Mar-2006 01:28
Pop, at first I thought that impossible - on second thought, perhaps not! LOL! ;)
I think it hysterically funny that you guys never made it down to the bottom of the image - to the whole purpose for which the image was taken. ~ Lonnit
Guest 13-Mar-2006 00:44
Okay, that settles it. Tomorrow morning I'm going to Home Depot and buying some RED paint. As soon as I'm done painting a room I expect Lonnit to appear! Double Dog Zounds! this is good.
Canon DSLR Challenge12-Mar-2006 23:48
Nor did I...I must, as Lonnit suggests, adjust my line of view...lol. Best Wishes, Traveller
Guest 12-Mar-2006 23:27
LOL. I did not notice you were thru the wall.
Shu12-Mar-2006 23:10
Doesn't look surreal but it sure is a great shot with its gorgeous color, unique pose and great lighting! shu
Canon DSLR Challenge12-Mar-2006 22:41
Traveller,
LOL! These reponses are hysterical! Hmmm.... as for the surrealism or illusion, yes, believe it or not, I acutally am human, and as such, I'm not truly able to walk thru walls. Usually, when I'm standing, I have legs that are in the same room that I'm in! LOL! ;) Um, er, perhaps you were distracted - look a little lower! LMAO!! ;) Now, question for you... How do you not know what I look like after all my posts with my sig pic, and my other self portraits? LOL! I guess I'm willing to settle for stunning. LOL! . Thank you very much. ;)

Sharon - Yes, it's pink gloss; I didn't have red. It tends to be a bit harsh. Guess I could touch it up. Perhaps I'll get around to that when I print it. Thanks.

Iso, it's sooo wonderful to have you back here. You've been missed, for certain. I'm so glad you're here for this entry - I love the feedback. ;) This is my newly painted red bedroom; it's an inspiring place. LOL! As for the veins, in that position they just pop. Perhaps not the most attractive thing in the world, but they do add to the intensity and power of the shot - assuming it actually does take some bit of effort to squeeze oneself through a wall! Well, at least if you're mortal! LOL! Glad you enjoyed this one. :)

Oh, Pops, I do like 'zounds'! Funny word - great reaction! LOL! Thanks.
Canon DSLR Challenge12-Mar-2006 21:55
Zowie indeed! I'm not sure I see the surrealism or illusion here...but what the Hey, fabulous is fabulous. Further, you are not at all what I expected you to be...How does, "Stunning," work as an appropriate word?....lol Best Wishes, Traveller
elips12-Mar-2006 21:48
Fantastic, Lonnit! I do kind of wish your lipstick was as red as your dress but other than that this is just wonderful! ~Sharon
iso320012-Mar-2006 21:47
This is just great. Smoulderingly sexy. The red colours in this work so well in this light. Detail and sharpness all add up (check out those veins on your hand LOL!). Oooh, yes please ;)
Guest 12-Mar-2006 21:27
Zounds! This is fabulous.
