The Next Time At The Market...A Six Pack Full of Goodness! * Traveller

This is a variation of Jason's funny boat in the background illusion, (what boat?). For those that have drunk Guinness, they will see a six pack of steaming cold Guinness Ale, for others, they will see a healthy variety of fruits. It's funny how the mind works...Which version do you see?....lol

This should not have been a difficult image to do. However, after shooting this indoors, with window blinds closed, tripod, flash, flash negative compensation, window blinds open, shoot flat on, shoot from above, at an angle, again flash/no flash, then next to the open window, and finally outside in a light misty rain, try again, fill flash, no fill, flat on or at an angle, reposition the fruit from slidding down yet again...47 images later I'm still shooting.

And shaking my head, thinking & lauging, "I'm no Michael Soo...Give it up!" This was a spur of the moment thing and not necessarily what I wanted...but sometimes you just have to run with the idea, as I did here, and then go back to work, (sigh...lol) Best Wishes, Traveller

Thanks, Shy and Cat, there is a little burn on the Apple, not much, but it is there. Sometimes I think that is it Okay and natural...other times, I sense that it is a serious flaw in an otherwise decent image. Best Wishes, Traveller

You came up with a great idea. The color, contrast and crispness of the shot are very well done. Nice contrast between the dark and light elements, also. It looks to me like it was well worth the effort.

Is Ori a Jason too? Just curious, how many Jasons do we have here? Surreal in itself...

Also, Trav, your experiences sound a lot like mine. I'll think up an "easy" still life shot, then take about 6-8 hours of shooting and it's still not close to the image in my mind's eye. I really want to take a shot of a drop of red wine falling into an empty goblet (not for this challenge, just want to know if I can do it), but I'm scared it'll cost me my sanity.

Fantastic idea and image Traveller :. Might play around with a slight vignetter or burned edges. Cindy
