Yes, Lee, it's a much warmer city now. Every cloud has its silver lining - when the dust cleared from the wake of 911, it left a city of love, hope, and togetherness. Eyes are no longer diverted - now contact is made and smiles are exchanged. In those first painful months there was such unity that you felt you could have walked up to any stranger to cry on their shoulder, and you would have been welcomed with open arms. It's now one of the friendliest and safest cities in the world. ~ Lonnit

Love to go to NYC. Have not been there in 20+ years. I hear things have changed.

This lamp and red wall go so well together. I do remember how green it was in another photo, I can see a little of it here too. The womb idea is interesting though ;)

Yes, Olaf, but I was torn between a top lip and a butt! LOL! As for the green, I've processed this to vividiate the red, which is yellowing the green. The lamp, in reality, is a subtle seafoam green. You can see a tad of it in the area of the base between the lower shadow and the circular ring highlight in the "hip" area of the base. But, even there, it's a tad greener than in person - it's actually a touch bluer than this. ~ Lonnit

The lit up red on the wall takes on the shape of of an upper lip - did you notice that? It's like a goodnight kiss! I would never have thought of the lamp being green, if you hadn't told me so...

C'mon over. For a red room, it's pretty dang relaxing! Well, the 18" mattress doesn't hurt either! Stpid thing cost as much as the 5d. LOL! I was concerned about the red being so bold in the bedroom, but then I figured, if the lights are out, what's the difference? I did not expect, though that when I turn on the two green lamps, that it would create such a nice, cozy atmosphere. Perhaps in the dimmer light, the room is more of a womb. LOL! ~ Lonnit

Fly, it's the bed, not a couch. Are you more comfortable now? LOL!

Victor, I know you're yanking; I saw you smirk! LOL! ~ Lonnit

Lonnit, I don't think it's not low key. I'm just yanking your chain (continuing from the challenge you hosted). -- Victor

Lonnit,

I like the vivid red and lamp. * I am not sure about the couch to the left. It seems to add a strange curve.

Alexeig,
Thank you! I LOVE my new toy. :)

Yes, guys, I do love this lamp - in this room! LOL! We just painted the room red, so the green lamp looks amazing in there. The problem is, I can't go in there at night if the light is on b/c I start obsessing with the way it looks and I have to run for the camera! LOL!

What I love about this image is that the lamp is in the corner - hence the cool shadow lines, but you can't actaully see the corner, so it's a very cool effect.

Oh, and Victor, if you check out the histogram, you will see it's slammed to the left, reaching high up, with a flattish line stretching along the whole length to the right, which is the classic histogram for low key. :) And, hey, I only missed EV qualification by a stop-n-a-half! LOL! ;) Not bad considering I didn't know the EV rules at the time. LOL! ~ Lonnit

Really nice color and shadows. Congratulations with the new toy

You really like that lamp, don't you? Shall I object that it's not low light or low key? Don't worry. I won't. -- Victor
