An exceptional portrait, shu. I particularly like the subtle bit of hair highlight on the right which really cements that the frame is totally filled with this lovely young lady. -Michael

Thanks guys for your critiques! I have very little technical understanding of my photography and altho' I read and practice often, I fail to grasp the essentials needed to create the "perfect" photo. All that said, I rely soley on my visual estimation of an image and, hopefully, will be able to work with the few tools I have to perfect it. Please continue to offer your fine suggestions. I LOVE the craft and enjoy these challenges that push me to take photos and exhibit my work. shu

This is a great image. I think it's perfect just the way it is. -- Victor

Shu, the skintones are pretty dark here. If you did that to make sure it was low-key, I just want to let you know that I don't think it was necessary. Look at moti's dummy-shots ('The look' and 'City view'). There, the skin-tones are actually pretty bright, but those images are still low-key, imo. If it was something you did in response to my comment on your 'Color Me'-shot, I am sorry. I had wrongly gotten the impression that 'As Low as they Get' by Pops was yours, I guess because it was in between two of your shots.

About the photo: it is a great capture of a natural expression! We've seen it before in some other form, haven't we? From the non-standard aspect ratio, I can tell this has been cropped and I wonder why? It seems almost too tightly cropped...
