I was really joking, Sten. They are important to add a sense of scale. If you crop the bottom of the photo you will see that the image losses some of its majesty because you can no longer tell how big the columns are in relation to humans. It is just that as a photographer type tourist I often wish my fellow travellers were no where to be seen when I want to take a picture! ~Sharon
Thank you Sharon for your nice comment! It is also interesting to see your opinion about the people at the bottom of the picture. I actually included the tourists on purpose, partly to make visible the size of the building, but your comment makes me reflect that the picture might have been better if I had raised tha camera a litte. :-) /Sten
Sten, I'm a little late but welcome to the challenge! I am very glad you decided to post in the challenge, your shots are a great addition to the gallery! The stripes in this cathedral are stunning and you have captured them and the perspective of such a large space very well. Too bad there are all those tourists cluttering up your composition! :-) ~Sharon
