Golden*

Venice/Mestre, Italy

Our host considers *grey* not to be color
(she is wrong, though, in my opinion:
if black is the absence of color
and white is the sum of all colors,
what, then, do you think is grey?).
Therefore, anyway, I pulled my grey picture.

And do enter now, instead, this one once again in a challenge.
Its color does not «overflow» from border to border, I know;
but the image definitely *does* have a «dominant» color
(as long as Lonnit doesn’t tell us it hasn’t, that is).

This is a lovely image with lovely gold tones...and you rather tell the story of Venice, too. Nice moody and true capture. Best Wishes, Traveller

My logic, dear Lonnit, works perfectly; it just doesn’t work for/with you... ;-)) Thanks, anyway, for commenting! — db.

Oh, cool - it also happens to be a great segue image to connect the two images surrounding it! Thanks! LOL! Some of you guys have been putting in colors that get me pulling my hair out figuring where to put them in the sequence. This one made life easy for me! LOL!

As for the grey, no, it's not a color, it's a shadow - the partial absence of light. Your 'logic' didn't work! LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit

It certainly does have a dominant color, and is a lovely image as well. :) BTW, as a point of interest, it also works very well with a crop along the base of the topmost lamp. Love the texture in the cobblestone and how the water almost mimicks it. Very nice entry. ~ Lonnit
