Three Amigos*

Every time I visit the zoo I take at least one shot of the Green Tree Pythons. I love these animals ... at least as long as they are in their cage. I wonder whether they are really without danger for man; they reach a length of up to 6 feet and are not much thicker than 1 1/2 inches. They are not poisonous and feed on little animals but I would not like one to coil itself round my neck...

Thanks for your comments. Out-of-the-camera image quality was not so good. I wonder how some people manage to get perfect results directly out of the 10D; I rarely do. My standard workflow in CS2 was used for some improvements, nothing special: cropping, Neat Image, levels, curves, selective sharpening, resizing and, finally, selective sharpening with a lower radius. Wow, both freaky and completely engaging. Dunno if it rolled off the camera that way, but the contrast is perfect. This has tremendous depth, almost looking 3D on my monitor. Nicely done. And (... um...) green. --Mr. Biscuit
