I did this for a KM Challenge (food, of course). No PS skills involved here (which is good 'cause I don't have em). I just stuck a birthday candle down into the peanut butter and lit the candle. The PB warmed up and filled in around the top. Not too sophisticated. My kids, of course, are convinced I have lost my mind. -- Bruce
I'm not sure you'd have to do anything but put a wick into a jar of peanut butter to get the oil to burn like that. But that brand probably has too much stabilizer in it to work really well. There is a brand that I usually buy that is nothing but peanuts. That's the only ingredient. And when you buy it, the peanut oil has always had time to separate out and there's usually a quarter of an inch of just oil on the top. I'm sure it'd burn nicely if given a wick. I usually just dump it off and then stir the jar up and pop it in the 'fridge to keep it from separating again. So although this might be a PS trick, it wouldn't have to be. Keep a few jars on hand just in case of power outage or hunger :) Cool shot, Bruce! Jim H.
This is a wonder image, Bruce. Is this PS'ed, or kind of a gift candle joke sort of think that you had laying around or....? I'm just curious of how you did this. Best Wishes, Traveller
