Very clever use of selective coloring. Nice perspectives on the ole Empire State Building. Isn't she a beauty :)

Excellent shots, Matt!! I also think the yellow highlights work well here. -- Jeannie (jburly)

Excellent! Normally the effect is cheesy, but you pulled it off really well to tie these images together. I love the old feel to the pix too. As for the yellow pages, hey, they really might go for it. I'd submit if I were you. :) ~ Lonnit

Good concept and well executed for a great result.

I drove a Yellow Cab until fairly recently (but not in NY), so this picture has special meaning for me. I wonder, though, what the lead taxi has grey bumpers. -- Victor

Date added.

Regarding the yellow tones, they are pretty close to the actual colors of NY cabs. If I played with the color it would not really be NY anymore. :-)

Thank you guys for comments (no hard feeling Phil :-) )

This is great. I don't often like b+w & color mixes...but this one works very well...you should submit this as an idea to the yellow pages in NYC. I woulnd't be surprised if they picked it up!!! cool set!!!

Small NOTE: You need to put the date on this image!!!!

Cheers,
:-D

Matt
Yes, that small improvement makes a big difference.
Personally, I think the yellow is about right (though I don't have first hand experience). Good work (and excuse the tough crowd, we warm up after a while!)

Matt, I agree that the center yellow was needed, however, ever since I've seen this image, I felt that the right and left yellows were just too intense...NYC yellows are bold, I understand this, but these yellows, even if true to life, still need to be backed off a little...like the yellow in the plane. IMHO. Best Wishes, Traveller

Thank you! :-)

Yes. The yellow on the middle one just does it! I especially like the fact that it's up high while the others are down low. It gets your eyes moving. I really do like this.

i like the yellow highlight on #2. :-) dorys

Tough crowd! I added a yellow highlight... :-)
Guest 04-Dec-2005 13:42
I agree with Phil.

I feel as if the centre image is missing something by havning no yellow highlight.
