Well I've been away for the weekend and having caught up on the forum discussion I guess I have to agree there's too much here to fit a strict definition of minimalism. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Interesting lines and combination of textures. The ocean breaks the pattern of the steps. I think it might push the envelope of minimalist but I'm not art student so I could be wrong. Dorys
