The Escape * Traveller ('tween standing and falling)

This was actually supposed to be part of my Fire & Ice image over in Eligible, but the idea just didn't work, (he was supposed to surf out of the fire...lol). And yet, I've come to be rather fond of this image...like life itself, we only get one ride down the face of that wave, and yet at best, only escape to the end of the waves face.

The color and transluscence of the wave is very nice. 'Reading' from right to left we get the 'history' of the wave - from the calm past to the rough future - with the surfer in between indeed.
