I had rotated this 0.75 degrees when I left my last comment. I have now changed it to a mere 0.4 degrees.

Olaf, well I like the slight blur in the background. I think the tilt does to my eye now seem a bit unnatural, maybe too much, maybe it is naturally supposed to be the other way. I am on a laptop right now, I will check it out later on my desktop and see if I think that it looks unnatural. Chris

Thank you Chris - for taking the time to comment. Your keen eye and constructive criticism is very much appreciated! Regarding the slight tilt, I attributed that to perspective and the cobble stoned surface actually not being flat (water has to run off). Nevertheless, I have now rotated the image slightly and done a very subtle blurring of the cobble stones in the background. Better now? To my eye the standing ring is almost tilting to the right now, anybody else?

Olaf, I like the lighting on this, it has been said before, but true. I also think that you have done a good job with the proportions, as the scale seems to tell me the true weight of the rings. I am wondering if the image might be better with a bit more DOF, from top to bottom? The blur at the bottom of the image distracts me, as about somewhere around the first part of the closest ring things are pretty clear, and that continues somewhat out the top of the image. The only other thing is that everything slightly leans to the left, doesn't seem enough to be intentional, seems like should be straightened slightly. Chris

Thanks guys! Natural backlighting always catches my eye. In fact, I think I'll go as far as saying it is my favorite kind of lighting...
