My first 'eligible' entry in one of these challenges. I decided to turn some roses into gold, since this was the only recent picture I've taken.

May I offer a suggestion? When gold is reflecting itself (as in the deep recesses of the flower) the saturation goes way up and the lightness goes down. I don't see that much in this image. If you added that, I think your image would be improved. There should also be darker shades elsewhere as well. Maybe simply playing with levels would be enough.

Rob, thanks for the welcome. One rose was dark red, the other was pink. I wanted them to look metallic, not just yellow, so I used select color range to isolate the roses, and used a gradient map to turn them to gold. Tammy

Nice PS work, these were really red? did you do anything to the edges like the find edge filter? Welcome to the challenges. Rob
