SledgeHammer - A Tribute *

Typical, can't usually get my daughters to pose for me, but get out the cucumber, potato and mushroom and they can't get there quick enough!
(Minor update to slightly change colour, a little less green, but not too much).
(Second edit to add the peas, which was my original intention until I found there were none in the house!)

other sizes: small medium original auto

:-) Great shot, I love it. The veggies really do stand out.

Cheers, Vikas.

For anyone still unable to place the reference, I've just (by coincidence) caught the video on TV. I leapt fot the 20D and just caught the fruit/veg bit...
It's a very poor picture - and also shows just how far away from the original I am, but still, who cares eh?http://www.pbase.com/whqttt/image/48657136

Didn't read any of the comments, so my apologies if it's been said before. I think this excellent photo calls for over-saturated colors, imo of course. Don't know why is that, maybe a faint memory of the song/video -- aam1234

OK, got the tribute now. It's funny I didn't put two and two together as I was singing the song in my head while viewing this. duh on me! :-)

Kelly, no, she's not vegan - in fact a typical kid who hates vegetables in every form!
As for the reference - see herehttp://www.solsburyhill.org/SledgeVideo.html though it's quite hard to find images from the video you should get the idea.

I do need to revisit the colour on this one...

Well done, but the poor skin tones/quality, and green hair tones are distracting to me. ~ Lonnit

Fun idea Phil - is she vegan and who is SledgeHammer? - Kelly

Phil, this is really excellent! I don't know if the high iso caused it or what, but the soft focus around the hair and background is really great...I love everything about this picture...the set up, the thought that went into it, the execution. You're a smart guy. Best Wishes, Traveller

Runner beans are good. Always works for me :)

Originally, my daughter was taking pics of me, and I needed to be sure of decent shutter speed for her in an otherwise dull room.
Should have set it back when I got the camera back... and I had the white balance set wrong too (oops!) but wasn't shooting raw (double-oops).
I really wanted a background of peas or something but the cupboard was bare!

Why the high iso? I can't see she'd have been moving that quick :) Of the noise and colour tones were better, this would be much improved. It's a great idea though! (I wonder if everyone will get the reference?)
