Lovely image and excellent work-around for the situation. ~ Lonnit

Great image. Very interesting to hear the *professinal* facts behind it as well. The partial colouring is an excellent touch to this.

Cindy - Thank you for posting the background story - quite poignant with the added photo - making a very stirring image - well done. - Kelly

Thanks Kelly - perhaps this other picture can answer your questions:

The groom was only 4 weeks out of the burn ward - where he spent 4 weeks mostly in an induced coma. He was home from the army on leave when he had an accident that ended up postponing this wedding. The tones were selected in part due to the injuries . . . but interesting question - I had a member of his family ask me not to take any images of his hands. The bride specifically asked for images of the hands. I took the images - but offered them in Sepia and BW as a compromise. This is one area photographers need to work out ahead of time when there is a 'different' kind of situation like this. thanks again, Cindy

Hi Cindy - I like the idea, tones, composition, the image and the colorization you've executed here... and then there's a couple little things that are hardly worth asking about: what are those markings on her fingernails what did that poor guy do to his hands? I'm not suggesting there's anything wrong with them, just curious about them. - Kelly
