Young Devotee *
4th Place

This young boy is a devotee of Lord Shiva whose birthday is celebrated on August 3rd. He is a part of the believers who carry these brightly coloured mini floats (for lack of a better word) as offerings to Lord Shiva. This boy was travelling with his grandmother and had a small float all to himself and was sweating profusely due to the high humidity and heat.

The first thought I had when I saw the photo was the "Afghani Girl" of National Geographic (not 100% sure of the official photo name). Liked this and your other entry so much that I tried to emulate them when I was shooting for the challenges yesterday. I'll go through the photos again and see if I'm remotely came close to what you have ---aam1234.

As usual, we get another professional quality image from Vikas. I could easily see this on the cover of a news magazine, or in a book of images. My only questions: At what focal length, at what distance from your subject, and how much cropping did you need to do, if any?
