Great compo, I like it.

Thanks for doing that. I don't see any loss, so however you did it, it worked out well. I did comment indirectly on the flag earilier by mentioning the color. Personally, along with the title, I think it works nicely. I ordinarily am also not a big fan of selective color, but this is a great use of it. The flag is so small that it's nice. The extra light near the area of the flag is what draws my eye down to the flower pot and only then do I notice the tiny splash of color. Very nice indeed.

Ooops. I see the file size is a tad large on this one. I didn't notice it before. It shows as:
166.2 KB (170191 bytes). Sorry.

I like it the way it is now. No sure what all changes have happened before this... -Cat

No need to further the editing, the image is good. :) As for the flag, I politely did not mention it b/c I didn't care all that much about it since it was so tiny, and it was your 'thang' for this image. I think the image is strong enough that it doesn't need a gimmick, but since I was enjoying the rest of it I figured I'd let you enjoy your little colored flag too. ;) ~ Lonnit

Shu, I love your work, dont get me wrong. The flag stood out like a sore thumb. Im not a fan of selective colour in an image. I agree the flag has to be in colour, but then so does the rest of the image. You know the window on its on is a great image.

I'm going to leave it this way be-coarse I'm fed up with it!! Did anyone notice the American flag (or are they just being polite?) Thank you Lonnit, my friend. I really value your opinions even tho" I may not always agree with them. You are not afraid to speak up, which is much appreciated by me! ...and BTW, I did resharpen. After awhile you lose your perspective and can't tell what's best for the image.....but I will say, you do "see" it when all elements pop into focus. Sort of like having your eyes checked for glasses. LOL Shu

Coarse is good though. I love the texture of the fixture on the ceiling! Did you resharpen? Bringing down the bottom end of the curve shouldn't have mad it look like more sharpening was added, only more contrast. I do like it this way better. Good job. :) ~ Lonnit

I "done" what you said -- it looks a bit coarse to me! Shu

Yut, I saw the remains of a yellowish frame I had used, but then changed my mind. (I got rid of most but left a remnant.....no nonsence here!) I worked the curve, but was unsure of the results (thought it too severe--- but maybe not, per your observations.) I'll try again. Thanks. Shu

How am I supposed to make any comments when Lonnit beats me to them all? I think I see a bit of border on the left and the top. And I agree, again, with Lonnit that maybe pulling the dark end down even lower might add more to this. I love the subtle use of both the light and shadow as well as the color to make the shot. This is very nice!

Nice but I'd like to see you yank down the dark end of the curve a few notches to bring some drama to it. It's lacking contrast and that yellowish glow will really POP when you bring down the darkness. (BTW, you've got a tad of border showing to the top and left - looks like that was not intentional.) ~ Lonnit
