I'm sure most of you know I love macro. This is nice because of the shallow depth of field and the natural light. I'm assuming that the "front" end of the critter is the end heading out into the light based on the title :) It's nice that the plane of focus, even with the open aperture and shallow DOF, follows the part of the body on the white surface, but then the shallow DOF is revealed by the part of the body on the brown surface.
