Thanks Jim. I woke up one morning with this picture in my mind. I poked the feather into a piece of black foam core and placed it on a kitchen counter where sunlight was shinning in. I exposed the light areas, and let the background go black. I rotated the pic in photoshop and added the frame. I'm sure there were some other tweaks, but I don't remember. Thanks again, dave.
Excellent. I don't know how you would end up with a photo like that except to actually start out with the idea already in mind and then create the shot. The shadow and highlight and the cropping are great. I also like the way the framing adds to this one. Overall, it's very subtle and just amazing.
