Like the perspective but the shadow does not appeal though it's quite creative. Probably the shadow of a cross or simply a man's shadow over the door would have been more appealing.

I think what I like about this shot is the fact that so much of it seems to be monochrome yet when you look closer it's clearly a color photo as demostrated by the wonderful blue of the sky and the bright colors of the stained glass. I don't mind that it's the photograher's shadow here, I guess, because it still makes an interesting shape projected up onto the chapel's side. And as a self-portrait, that's just fine. But that's not to say that a different photo, using a shadow from a model of some sort, wouldn't also be a nice concept.

I like the concept but it doesn't thrill me that it's the photog's shadow, because the shadow is uninteresting. What would have been really awesome here would be if the shadow were a man wearing the dress of the late 1700s, walking in profile. ~ Lonnit
