Processing a digital photo is not "cheating" or corrupting the photograph. It's no different than darkroom manipulation. I like the off kilter feel of this photo, tilted horizon and all. I especially like the reflection in the rail.

I'm really torn about this one. I look at it and think this is supposed to be a really good shot, yet something about it is really bugging me. Maybe the tilted horizon? Maybe the overprocessing of the soil? Ok, I think maybe that it's such a nice natural shot, but it's been overprocessed which gives it an artificial feel. I bet the original, with a slightly bumped up saturation would be much nicer. Sorry, Jim, nothing personal, I just tend to be extremely critical. Not that I could do any better, though I love to be able to. :) The concept is absolutely excellent, though. It was very well seen. I'm sure it's just the processing; I'm normally no prude when it comes to processing - I've got nothing against that and do plenty myself. ~ Lonnit

Gosh this is good, but it need just a bit of CW rotation to get the horizon level.

Just great! The reflection and color in the rail is very creative. Nice job. My only critique might be that the mud on either side seems a little overly processed. Still, marvelous. -- Bruce

Sigh...you're right, Rob, this is just about as good as a picture gets. Traveller
