While I did not see the desaturated version, I certainly enjoy the color and perspective in this version. "a spread of preserves" also occurred to me for a title. -Michael

ummmm, Lonnit...Traveller said he likes "De-Sat", not "de Sade". :-)

But Traveller, you are not disagreeing! You LIKED it because it was disturbing and you like that sort of thing. I DIDN'T like it b/c it was disturbing because I generally don't like that sort of thing. . So we agreed that it was disturbing, which is a fact. Liking disturbing things is just a matter of personal preference. Preferences can't be wrong... unless of course they are a preference for young boys, in which case they are QUITE wrong! But if you have a preference for heels and whips and your consenting adult partner is ok with it too, then I'm ok with that... for YOU! LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit

Gads, I'm going to go against two people I really respect...but what the Hey...I strongly preferred the original post. I always fine partial De-Sat's to be psychologically disorienting....and therefore a pleasure to spend some time with.

Honorable people can honorably disagree. (But I really liked the first image...lol) Traveller

I can't stand partial desaturations. I'm really glad you replaced it with the full color shot. It works much better.

I find this image quite disturbing to my stomach! LOL! The colorized jars make the B&W ones look hideously unappetizing. This must have been a feast for the eyes and belly in full color. In BW it becomes a study of texture. A blend of the two just makes my belly do flip-flops. Sorry, but I have to be honest here. This type of treatment just does not work well with this particular image. Consider replacing it with the original full color shot. I bet it looks great. :) ~ Lonnit
