Thanks :)

The shoot was no where special. At home, once the sun went down and the room was completely dark. Perhaps I'm not using the word shoot in the right context? I should've used the word session?

Awesome. I like them both a lot! I agree the one you've posted here does feature the cool blue pattern more prominently. Where was the shoot?

Also,

I don't have a full hand shot of this particular photo. I have a bunch of others from the shoot but none with this distinct pattern. Here's one I initially wanted to post

But I think the one I posted puts more emphasis on the pattern topic itself. Though I usually refrain from reposting photos (I posted the current shot in a ctf mini challenge). Please let me know what you think :)

Hi Kelly :)

I don't remember if this was my hand or not, since this photo was taken exactly a year ago (give or take a few weeks, about a month after I first bought the cam). I was quite new to the digital camera scene so I didn't think that the plasma ball would somehow permanently effect the sensor. Though I did have enough sense ;) not to touch the plasma ball with the camera. During the past few months I remember reading a topic on the DP forums that cautioned such close ups. I would probably not fret to do a photo like this again, then again perhaps I would've been more hesistant, even so with the $$$ 20D ;)

This is fantastic Techo! Love the parallel lines!! Is that your hand or a friend's hand? Is it possible to see just a little bit more of the hand as I fear some may not recognize it at first. Did you worry any about how your S410 sensor might have reacted near the plasma ball? Very cool image. - Kelly
