Panning in Segments*

San Diego, CA

That is a single car in a single image, as opposed to a composite. I was panning my camera, on a monopod, to follow the motion of a passing car. I did this several times, but only captured the vertical zig-zag effect on this attempt. I *think* I achieved this by panning in segments, rather than continuously, letting the car move across the 'frame' then shifting to place it at center-right. The only PS processing would be some color-cleanup and cropping.

Interesting patterns. Is it one car or several cars?
