Third Place:(tie) Illuminated Sky

I'd heard that we're supposed to get yet another
Northern Lights show that night (hopefully)
so I went out to see if I could spot any signs of them.

I'm not sure WHAT this was.
The glow in the sky was on the OPPOSITE side
where the sun went down at least an hour
and a half earlier, but wouldn't go away.
I know it's not city light reflections because
I've NEVER seen this before in this spot
in the 4 years we've lived here.
(Not to mention this little lake is
isolated out in the country.)
And I could see this from my home,
which is about 20 minutes away from this little lake.
It was wild. Like I said, I'd never seen the sky
like that before, and I haven't seen it like that since.

It did move a bit and after being at the lake
for about a half hour, it was starting
to dissapate and move in other directions.

I decided to go home and upload this then
maybe go out looking for the Aurora a bit later.

Love the glass-like water. Well done.
