I like the lighting, colors and details of the eye. Still a tad too noisy in certain dark spots and in the red shirt portion of the photo but can be selectivly taken care off. All in all, this is a keaper :-)

It was the hair wasn't it? Like I said, I don't usually bother with NR.
Here's attempt 3 - erring more to noisy than not, with the NR layer on top blended at about 40% but no NR on the hair at all.
Honestly, when printed these are fine... no, really...

I'm hoping I'm better at this portrait lark as it's going to make me money...
However, I always shoot a iso800 and rarely bother with noise reduction, but I gave it a go and this is what I got...
I does soften his hair rather, but his skin and everything else looks better I think.
(Do let me know if it's too much)

One of the better portraits I've seen you post. Unconventional composition, but I like it alot. Had it been mine, I would have cleaned up the noise a bit, though.
