I think the cleavage (although nice) causes the eyes to exit the picture, IMO.

Definitely improved; you could go stronger though b/c the hairs are still visible. Make sure you're getting the shadows and the cleavage as well. :) ~ Lonnit

Thank you very much Lonnit! I followed your instructions. This is how it looks now. -Cat

Duplicate the image onto a new layer. On the new layer, select the skin tones with the magic wand tool, then feather a few pix (it's cheating a bit so you don't have to be so anal about the precision of the selection), then add a slight gaussian blur to the skin. Deselect and then you can unsharp to the whole layer. You can then reduce the opacity of the layer if you went a bit overboard on the previous steps, and find a pleasing opacity. Voila! It should only take 2-3 minutes to do it - if it takes longer you're being anal about the selection! LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit

Tears in my eyes.

Thank you all for the comments. I know the problem with this picture, thats why I had posted the initial one with Gaussian blur applied (thanks Lonnit) however I am not very skilled at this so it ended up looking all blurred. (Read Mr. Biscuit's comments) I can take care of the rubies, but if someone can tell the parameters for gaussian blur I'll appreciate the help. I think this picture can be improved, but I just donno how. Help! -Cat

it seems we are all aware of the hair - some gaussian blurring is most definitely in order here, and along with sharpening the stones a bit it will really get it where it ought to be. :) ~ Lonnit

Rob, you are not supposed to point out hairs in someone elses image :-)
Females don't like being reminded that they even HAVE hairs in locations that are visible to the "naked eye", unless it's on their head! he he. Now, back to the photography..... pump up the saturation on the red stones so they "pop" from your image. Markjay

Mr. Biscuit just sprayed Diet Coke on his monitor. It took him 10 seconds to appreciate Rob's comment, but once he did...

Cat there is a lot of hair here with a real depression, I hope i'm not looking at a lower portion of a back - that would be just too funny.

Thanks Mr. Biscuit. I have replaced this one. I was trying to make the skin smoother. I guess I had messed it up :-) -Cat

From Mr. Biscuit:
Dunno if camera shake or misplaced focus, but the blur here tends to dominate my perceptions of the image. If you re-shoot, I'd also perk up the ruby color a bit so that it "leaps" a bit more.
